Anthony Skeets Red Spiny Oyster Cluster Bracelet size 6 1/2"

Skeets, Anthony

Anthony Skeets is a prolific Navajo silversmith who works in the Traditional Revival style of smithing. He is best known for the cluster bracelets he makes, but he makes a whole range of jewelry in traditional style from earrings to concha belts.

This cluster bracelet is set with some of the prettiest, best-matched red spiny oyster that we've ever seen. The center rectangle and flanking triangles are perfectly polished and show no natural pitting whatsoever. The six triangles which flank the rectangle to left and right are exquisite color matches. Add to that another thirty ovals which outline the border of this cluster and you've got a lot of very fine spiny oyster. The cuff consists of five heavy-gauge lengths of triangle wire spread wide behind the clusters and tapering to the terminals where the triangle wire is fused. You won't find better spiny oyster anywhere. Very solidly constructed in Anthony's inimitable styling and showing his excellent workmanship.

Hallmarked AS and stamped Sterling inside.
