Ella Linkin Damele Variscite Cluster Bracelet size 6 1/2"

Linkin, Ella

Ella Linkin is a Navajo woman who smiths silver in the Traditional Revival style. She has a nice eye for design and uses fine natural stones in the work that we get from her.

This bracelet has a sweet set of well-matched Damele Variscite stones set in a round cluster design of seven stones. We shot these photos in what is known as "full shade" and outdoors. Doing this minimizes the glare at the surface of the stones, but it robs them of some of their pizzazz. When you buy this and have it in hand, you will make the remark that we hear time and again: "This is better than the pictures." The green, though subtle, isn't flat. The soft visual aspect of the stones is actually creamy. A picture may be worth a thousand words, but when you're holding this you will have no words--you'll be speechless. It's that good. This is natural, untreated Damele Variscite. The Damele Mine in Nevada yields both turquoise and variscite. Turquoise from the mine is much rarer and considerably more expensive. Damele Variscite usually costs about the same price per-carat as natural Royston turquoise, for example.
