Cecil Atencio Fox Turquoise Encrusted Belt Buckle

This stunning belt buckle by Navajo silversmith Cecil Atencio is encrusted with thirteen stones of natural, untreated Fox turquoise from Nevada. Fox turquoise is reputed for being harder and more fracture-resistant than most other turquoises. What we most like about Fox turquoise is the range of colors yielded by this renowned Nevada turquoise mine. You'll note that these stones perfectly illustrate the variety of colors issuing from this great mine. And turquoise colllectors know that some of the shades of color of Fox turquoise are not found at any other turquoise mines. Cecil used a variety of shapes of stones and artfully punctuated the gaps between the stones with large, fat raindrops.
