Ernest Rangel Carico Lake Turquoise Ring size 14
This is a beautifully made large man's ring by Navajo silversmith Ernest Rangel. It is set with a free-form stone of pale green natural, untreated Carico Lake turquoise from Nevada. The stone is set in a smooth bezel which is wrapped with raindrop wire, which forms the border of the ring face. The shank of this ring is sandcast and was created from a hand-carved mold for casting the molten silver. This is a hefty, solid ring exhibiting the sort of weight that is appropriate for a large man's hand. We are very careful when picking these large pieces and this one fit all our criteria for quality in terms of craftsmanship, heft and quality of the stone.
Ernest did not hallmark this ring.
