Herman Vandever Royston Turquoise Bracelet size 6 7/8"
Herman Vandever is a very accomplished silversmith who works in a variety of styles, including overlay work and sandcasting. When using stones, he always uses superior natural turquoise.
This bracelet is set with a perfectly shaped oval stone of two-tone blue and green natural, untreated Royston turquoise. This turquoise is a very pale blue with clouds of green in the stone. The stone is quite fine-grained and beautifully polished. The stone is set in a smooth bezel wrapped with twist wire which is recessed inside a beveled border notched by saw and file work marking the cardinal directions. The cuff consists of five lengths of low-dome Sterling wire which back the medallion and the appliquées which frame the stone. This is splendid workmanship done to pay homage to a superb stone.
Hallmarked Herman V in script and stamped Sterling inside.
