Born at Shungopavi on Second Mesa, Cyrus Josytewa is a member of the Snow Clan and of the extended Josytewa family which includes silversmiths Stacey, Guy, Jesse, Joe and Louie. Like the other smiths in his family, he specializes in traditional Hopi overlay pieces. Hallmarks "Cyrus Josytewa" with a pictographic hallmark that is two circles with a third smaller circle at top (it looks like a snowman).
