Here Monty shows the absolute precision of his carving and his ability to carve deeply in the stone to achieve dramatic relief in his designs. Notice the consistency of the smooth, yet stippled, surface which represents the backdrop for his series of raised whirling log designs. What other silversmiths would cast as small pieces and solder to their work as starred buttons (four of them around the center motif), Monty has created in reverse by carving them into his tufa complete with finely-detailed ridges.

This is a wide cuff at two inches at the center of the bracelet. It tapers to 1 1/4" wide at the gap. Another detail that marks its superior workmanship is that the cuff is perfectly uniform in its thickness. You'll love the solid feel and heft of this piece due to its weight of 141 grams.
