Pete, Louise
Louise Pete is a Navajo artist who lives south of Gallup on the way to Zuni Pueblo. She works wholly in a Santo Domingo style, nearly always using spiny oyster, though she also uses cowry and mother of pearl and turquoise in many of her pieces. We have broken our rule of classifying her items along tribal lines because we know that those looking for her style of work will naturally seek among our Santo Domingo collection.
