Riley Polequaptewa is from Shungopavi on Second Mesa. He has been smithing silver in the traditional overlay style of the Hopi since the early seventies. He often uses butterflies in his designs and his work can be found in the collection of the Peabody Museum at Harvard University. His hallmark is a bear claw (as shown).
