Claw, Monty
Monty Claw is an accomplished Navajo silversmith who is best known for his sandcast jewelry. He is a very precise carver who carves very detailed molds, often characterized by extreme relief, including a line of pieces which feature spikes. He is as comfortable in making very contemporary designs as he is in creating new iterations of Navajo Traditional Revial jewelry. He is an "up and comer" who we are certain will win many juried competitions in the future and leave a lasting mark on the modern landscape of Navajo handmade silver jewelry. We first met Monty in 2013.
